]]> Field Work Party November 25, 26, 27 https://www.baysidercclub.com/2016/11/field-work-party-november-25-26-27/ Wed, 23 Nov 2016 18:30:09 +0000 http://www.baysidercclub.com/?p=1029 Continue reading Field Work Party November 25, 26, 27]]> More work is being done on the new field and your help is needed.

We are going to have a work party November 25 through 27, or Friday, Saturday, and Sunday if needed, and big things are planned to be accomplished with the intention of having our runway surface in place by the end of the ‘party’. A lofty goal to be sure. None of the work is too difficult but there is a lot of area to cover. I’ll outline what we have planned:

  • Spread out two large piles of sand to fill holes.
  • Apply pre emergent.
  • Roll out the runway fabric and staple it down. Sounds easy but we are talking about 20,000 square feet and 2,000 staples.

Any and all help appreciated.

Here is what to bring:

  • Shovel (flat preferred)
  • wheel barrow
  • straight rake
  • landscape rake if you have one
  • the small hand crank fertilizer spreader
  • knee pads for the stapling process
  • and work gloves.

Everyone is welcome to come early but we will plan a kick-off meeting for 10:00 to get everyone on the same page. There is a chance of rain on and off through the period but we will see what we can accomplish. Also, can someone get some aerial pictures as we get this work done?

Information about and directions to the field can be found on this page.

Any questions? Contact Mike West 650-642-0503 mwest@pacificpeninsula.com

Hope to see you there.
